From building towering glass apartment blocks to gated enclaves of mansions, Cunningham Homes has been a driving force of Ireland’s property boom. Denise and Cormac Cunningham seem the epitome of the Celtic tiger; he runs the family construction firm with a rod of iron while she is one of Dublin’s great socialites. In reality, their marriage is a battlefield of two powerful personalities. Ali O’Mara is an award winning journalist who built a formidable reputation by exposing corruption; she also happens to be an outspoken critic of the Cunningham family and their estate agent, Michael Farrell, who she views as corrupt. After a disastrous work misjudgement, she decides to take stock of her life. When Michael Farrell sells her an apartment, both are surprised that there is an instant attraction, but their relationship brings her right into the heart of the hostile Cunningham’s. Cormac sees Ali as a spy in the camp especially as he is about to go after the biggest prize of all - Heavey’s Mill, a prime piece of land in the middle of Dublin’s Harbour district.
