Bővebb ismertető
When there is suspicion of gallbladder stones, sonography presents itself as a primary screening method which entails no risks and provides information on the presence of stones and the condition of the gallbladder wall. Radiologic examination is then employed as a further diagnostic step to obtain more precise information on the type of stone and the gallbladder function. This information is then employed for the selection of differentiated therapeutic procedures. With suspicion of stones in the bile duct, radiologic inspection is the method of choice. It is the aim of this brochure to give a brief overview of the present position and status of radiodiagnostics in the diagnosis of gallstone disease.
