Introductory NoteThis bulletin contains 637 irrigation terms, which have been drawn from FAO documents and publications, from the vocabulary card files of the Terminology and Reference Section, and from the sources listed on page 103. It is understood that only a email proportion of the current terms relating to this vast subject could be covered in this bulletin.Hie terna are arranged in English alphabetical order, followed by their French, Spanish and Arabic equivalents. There are English, French, Spanish and Arabic Indexes. Each tern in these Indexes refers back to the numbered English main entry in order to facilitate consultation.Specialists on the subject, such as the "Studio of Hydraulic Engineering", Mr. G. Mingolla, Rome, have been consulted, in compiling the bulletin. Cooperation was also obtained from Messrs. L. Vermeiren and J.A.
