Sequins for a Ragged Hem [antikvár]

Sequins for a Ragged Hem tells of my return visit the following year (to the Caribbean). Still an outsider but I was no longer afraid. I had never seen any of the other islands. I visited them because I wanted to know what life was like there. But Sequins is not a travelogue nor is it a guide for those who wish to visit. I am writing about my own experiences on the islands. the 'ragged hem' of the book's title refers to the rape of slavery and all this had done to my people. 'Sequins' are the color and sparkle they have woven into the state of being in exile.
