Bővebb ismertető
For most of us living in cities or an urban environment, there are a few basic things that we quickly forget or, for some reason, put aside in some distant corner of our memory. It seems that the older we get, the more we realise that not only are these basics important, but also how easy they are to recover. I think what I have forgotten the most in the past years is probably how pleasurable simphcity can be. Until early one morning last May.After a series of short hops around Milan, Lake Como, Venice and then down to Florence - a greattrip in itself - my wife and I decided to slow down and drive south to explore Tuscany. By exploring, I mean get ourselves lost. By getting lost, I mean no real planning or specific aims, just a predisposition to make the most of anything enjoyable and, if possible, "unexpected".After reading the Persian fairy tale "The Three Princes of Serendip" (a gift from our Travel Designer) on the private jet we had chartered to get to Italy, we were actually convinced that good things could eventually happen to us if we were not looking for them. And we were still laughing about it. Picture this: you just walk/drive/fly around, with no specific destination in mind, and try to remain calm yet attentive to anything that might occur around you, in front or behind you. I wish someone could have followed us, filming this couple of wide-eyed strangers with a permanent smile on their faces!VldiaN3(d3S
