Foreword
John is a man of prayer and a motivator for prayer. His is a cry 'from another country' to seek the face of God. With a whip of rope Jesus cleansed the temple and called her back to being a House of Prayer for all nations. John is one who has secured a whole mountain just outside Kampala to become that house of prayer. There may not be many buildings, but there is certainly prayer: unceasing, persistent, united, penetrative, desperate prayer. The prayer that takes hold of God and 'will not let Him go'. And the nation of Uganda, the pearl of Africa, has been brought back from the brink of disaster, through prayer. This book contains vital, motivating, prophetic teaching, applicable to individuals, families, churches and nations that we cannot afford to miss. I and Anita have known John for nearly ten years. I have been present at different family milestones and he has deeply impacted our lives and those of our children. He has been a friend as well as a constant challenge. I thank God for bringing him to us for such a time as this.
The dynamite that is contained between the covers of this book is a result of a time of seeking God at the same period as the attacks on the World Trade Center of 9/11. The first time I heard John preach these messages, at Trumpet Center in the heart of Kampala, I remember being deeply stirred.
