Bővebb ismertető
Social psychology is a broad and diverse field. It deals with manas a social animal and investigates how he thinks, feels, and behavesin social situations. In other words, it concerns how man affectsand is affected by other men. Although this is an acceptable defini-tion of the field, to some extent historical accident has determinedwhat traditionally is and is not considered social psychology. In asense, it is defined by what the people who consider themselves tobe social psychologists work on and by what appears in social psy-chology journals. Since the content of the discipline is thus some-what arbitrary, we have chosen to concentrate on those topics thathave been and still are of primary interest to social psychologists, that appear in the major journals, and that seem most relevant tocurrent problems.
