PART ONE Law-Decree No. 3 of 1983 Issued by the Presidential Council of the Hungárián People's Republic on the Activities of Legal Advisers In order to promote legality more effectively in our social life, to develop the work of legal practitioners in our national economy, to satisfy the requirements of economic organizations for legal aid to a larger extent as well as with a view to the uniform legal policy guidance of the legal advisers' activities, the Presidential Council of the Hungárián People's Republic orders as follows: General Provisions SECTION 1 (1) The task of the legal adviser is to promote by legal means the success of the functioning of the organizations represented by him, to participate in the realization of legality, to provide assistance to the enforcement of rights as well as in the performance of obligations. (2) In performing his duty the legal adviser administers legal representation, gives legal advice and information, prepares petitions, contracts and other documents within the framework defined by statutes and takes part in the organization of legal work. (3) The legal adviser has the duty to draw the attention of the head of the organization to the violations of law coming to his notice in the sphere of his activities and make proposals for their elimination. (4) The legal adviser may not participate in evading the provisions of legal rules or abusing the law in any manner. (5) Unless provided to the contrary in this Law-Decree, the legal adviser may not accept a commission from a priváté person to carry
