Thetenses used in the Active Voice exclude the PastPerfect and the Future Perfect; the more com-plicated continuous tenses; and all the moredifficult constructions expressing uncertainty. Inthe Passive Voice, the tenses are, for the most part,limited to the Present and the Past.The subordinate clauses introduced into thetext include only simple relative and adverbialclauses. Noun clauses, if used at all, are veryrare.
