Bővebb ismertető
TO THE STUDENTSurvival English is a short intensive course for adults who need English for practical purposes such as business trips and professional work in English-speaking countries.Survival English has twenty units, each one presenting some of the language needed to survive in basic day-to-day situations in an English-speaking environment. The situations range from business meetings to buying clothes and ordering a meal.Survival English can also be used by those of you who wish to study on your own. In the Workbook, words, phrases and sentences have been left out of the dialogues. You should fill these in and check your version against the complete version in the Keybook. Model answers for the exercises are also given in the Keybook. In this way you can continually assess your progress. The authors wish to thank the Directors of the Anglo-Continental Educational Group, where the material was conceived. They also wish to thank Paul Newman for illustrating the pilot edition and Karen Viney and John Tilley for advice and criticism.John Curtin Director of Studies Anglo-Continental School of English LondonPeter VineyAnglo-Continental School of English Bournemouth
