Many years ago, DH Lawrence called Sydney 'the London of the Southern Hemisphere'. And Captain Arthur Phillip, commander of the 1788 First Fleet to enter Sydney Harbour, said Sydney Harbour was 'the finest harbour in the world'.
Each year around 3.5 millión visitors walk the streets of this city, hail taxis, eat our food and buy our souvenirs. Soon many more will arrive for the Olympics and jóin us in somé of our best celebrations.
