EDIIOILThe subject of mysterious orbs appearing in photos and video has dominated the intemet and discussions between ufologists throughout the world. Sometimes these discussions have become quite heated, with one camp saying that these orbs represent an unknown intelligent force, while others such as myself believe that we are looking at nothing but camera artifacts, created by dust/water particles, insects and light manifestations.A good example for the pro intelligent camp was Graham Birdsall and his undying conviction to the Secret NASA Tapes, which he marketed worldwide. Another ufologist who supports the idea that these objects are not dust particles etc. is George Simpson of AUFORN VIC. He is a camera technician by trade. As for me, my professional background is that of a cinematographer, trained in the use of CCD cameras with some years of experience in their use and capabilities. I am quite familiar with what artifacts CCD cameras can produce, inducing some myself to see what they looked like on tape.about one hourfrom Campbelllown, NSW, towards the southwest. The weather wm very cold on this day. Using a disposable camera I took some shots of the waterfall and surrounds. It was a bit foggy in some parts. What I found interesting in the photos is what holes like 'orbs'. It was very eerie that day as there were no people in sight apart from us. 1 felt, though, that we were being watched by someone or something. The rest of the film was taken back at home and there were no 'orbs' on any of these photos, only the ones atI don't believe in everything NASA and their technicians say, as I believe they have covered up a lot of information, both photographic and j otherwise. But Chuck Shaw, a flight director on STS-75 shuttle flights, is of the opinion that these objects are nothing more than small debris, dust/ice particles, lens reflections/bloomings etc. And I have to say, with what I have experienced, I totally agree.But that still doesn't answer the question. The debate will continue and we will still be receiving letters such as the one below.Dear Editor,I thought you might be interested to see these photographs I took on Mothers Day this year (2 May 2004).
