Editoria
As you read this editorial I will be in Egypt, well on my way with Diane on a ten week overseas holiday. I would have finally met Enuf Sed, the Egyptian Ufologist and intrepid carpet salesman. Some of our loyal readers would remember him with his regular column called 'The Cairo Connection' which graced our pages five years ago. Apparently he has some investigations that he wishes us to join in with him, and I'm looking forward to the experience. One location I'm keen to get to contains the famous or infamous Egyptian heiroglyphs of Abydos that apparently show depictions of seemingly high technological things such as a UFO, helicopter, tank or possibly a submarine and what looks like an aircraft. I will definitely be taking quite a few photos and will share them with you when I get back to Australia.
We will be travelling in England and Europe, and will, time permitting, be seeing UFO researchers in those countries.
On another leg of our journey, we will be spending four weeks in the United States, catching up on e-mail friends and researchers that we have struck up close fiiendships. We will also be visiting Roswell, Area 51, Highway 375 (see photos below), NASA, and of course the Grand Canyon.
But I'm looking forward to travelling on the famous Highway 375 while travelling to the Grand Canyon, where people say strange objects are seen in
the night sky.
Nevada State Highway 375 stretches for 158 kilometres from US-93 in the southeast to US-6 in the northwest. It crosses three large high desert valleys in south central Nevada: Tikaboo Valley, Sand Spring Valley and Railroad Valley. Except for a couple of ranches, the town of Rachel is the only settlement along the way.
In April 1996 Nevada State Highway 375 was oflficially named the Extraterrestrial Highway for the many UFO sightings along this lonely stretch of road. The highway is close to the mysterious Area 51, a super-secret Air Force test facility, and in the 1980s and 1990s there have been many sightings of unidentified objects near the base. Even today visitors and locals alike often see strange lights in the night-sky while driving down the highway.
We will then meet up with Dennis Balthaser, an independent researcher, journalist and lecturer living in Roswell, New Mexico. Dennis' focus is the Roswell Incident of 1947, however, his research extends to investigations of Area 51, underground bases and ancient Egypt. Dennis will be showing us the sights around Roswell.
We will eventually meet up with Jeff Rense and possibly Kathleen Anderson.
We have another jam-packed issue for
you. We have an article about what equipment one should use when doing a paranormal investigation. Articles about personal experiences, such as the object photographed by Mark Abriel over West End, an irmer city suburb of Brisbane. More on Australia's ancient past, with Glenville Pyke's article on the land of Ophir of Northern Australia. Linda Moulton Howe graces the pages of the Australasian Ufologist Magazine for the first time with a multi-part article on United States' coverup of Roswell and the continued antics by United States' Officials with various UFO-related episodes during what ufologists around the worid call the 'Golden Years'. Beginning with this issue, we will now have a regular two page spread titled 'Photo Gallery: Oversea Sightings'. This will hopefully keep readers up-to-date on what is happening around the worid.
So there you have it. Another big issue with plenty of information to chew and ponder.
Cheers
Robert
