INTRODUCTION
We seem to live in the age of the resume. You can study hard in school for four years, graduate with honors, and yet when it comes to getting that job, the first thing the interviewer asks of you is "a copy of your resume."
Yes, a resume, a good resume, is an essential part of your job search technique. A resume that works will represent you - your skills and accomplishments, leading the way for you to move from college into the work world.
Resume writing is an art in itself. I didn't have a guide such as this one to help me when I wrote my own first resume. In fact, if I only knew then what I know today, I could have saved myself lots of time and money. Actually, it took me years of writing professional resumes for students and professionals of all careers to perfect my resume writing skills. Now, however, I know what works and what doesn't.
