Bővebb ismertető
introductory note
This book is an attempt to present the basic principles of Indirect Speech, particularly as it is used in spoken and informal written English. Certain advanced aspects of reporting are therefore not dealt with.
The material in the book is presented in such a way that the student can work to a large extent on his own. Each new pattern is introduced through a substitution table, so that the student can practise a large number of model sentences before he attempts an exercise. In the exercises, the context in which the changes from Direct to Indirect Speech have to be made has been provided.
