Foreword Acupuncture is an important part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Over the past 2500 years medical scholars in every age have contributed to the development and refinement of the art of acupuncture in China. During his three visits to China Giovanni Maciocia studied acupuncture conscientiously with Chinese doctors and teachers.
