ForewordThe ministry of song, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, is undoubtedly one of the greatest factors in drawing men to Christ.The present song book is not intended to take the place of " Hymns and Tunes " or " Christ in Song," which have served us so well during all these years, but this collection will introduce many new songs which have appeared since the publication of these two books. It is with the hope that these special songs may be made available to our people, particularly in the Young People's Societies, Home Missionary programs, evangelistic efforts in cities, and in our school chapels, that this collection has been prepared.An effort has been made to get in touch with the owner of every copyright, but in a few cases we have not been successful. Wherein we have failed, we shall be pleased to make correction in future editions, when proper information is furnished us.Special thanks are hereby rendered to those who have kindly given permission for the publication of songs, and to a number who have written original compositions for this book.
