Penguin Books The Great Prince Died Bemard Wolfe was bora in New Haven, Connecticut, in 1915. He vaguely remembers having spent somé years at Yale. He served at one time in the Merchant Marine, and for another time was bodyguard to Leon Trotsky in Mexico. He alsó edited for a period Mechanix Illustrated. During the war he was a military correspondent for science magazines, and it was not until 1946 that he turnéd from journalism to fiction. He was assisted in this, at one point, by Henry Miller who helped him write eleven pornographic novels in eleven months. His publications include Limbo990 (published in Penguins), In Deep, and Come on Out, Daddy. He has written several plays for television, including one on the assassination of Trotsky. He lives in the Santa Monica Mountains, writes fiction and plays tennis.
