FOREWORD TO THE 2yth EDITION Each new edition of The International Who's Who is the result of a complete and thorough revision of its predecessor. Not only are daily records of changes to existing entries maintained, but there is alsó continuous research directed towards the selection of new names for inclusion in the next edition. The fruits of this research will be apparent to all who use this latest volume and will, we believe, still further enhance the value of The International Who's Who as a source of international biographical reference. We would once again üke to express our thanks to all those who, by completing questionnaires or by correcting proofs sent to them, have enabled us to bring our information up-to-date. We would particularly like to emphasise the necessity for proofs of entries to be returned to us without delay, as only in this way can we be certain that every entry is as accurate and as up-to-date as possible.
