INTRODUCTION This-is a book about prophecy—Bible prophecy. If you have no interest in the future, this isn't for you. If you have no curiosity about a subject that some consider controversial, you might as well stop now. For the past thirteen years I have been giving mes-sages on Bible prophecy throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. The interest in this aspect of Bible study has been amazing, particularly in the past few years. People who are confronted with the state of the world today are eager to learn what the Best Seller has to say about the future. As a traveling speaker for Campus Crusade for Christ I had the opportunity to give messages on prophecy to thousands of people. These messages have consistently proven to be popular with every age group. This is not a complex theological treatise, but a direct account of the most thrilling, optimistic view of what the future could hold for any individual. I make no claim of knowing exactly when the world is going to end. In fact, I have never taken to the hills with my possessions and loved ones to await Doomsday. I believe in a hope for the future. We have been described as the "searching genera-tion." We need so many answers—answers to the larger problems of the world, answers to the conditions in our nation, and most of all, answers for ourselves. How do we know in what direction we should go? How can we separate truth from opinion? In whom can we trust? On one side we hear that the answer to our dilemma is education. Build bigger and better schools, hire more teachers, develop a smarter generation. Has the academie community found the answers? There are many students who are dissatisfied with being told that the sole purpose of education is to develop inquiring minds. They want to find some of the answers to their questions —solid answers, a certain direction.
