Notes on the Consonants
The following have approximately the same sounds as in English: p b t d k g (hard) na n f v s z h .
['] la the " glottal stop." In this dictionary it is marked only when occurring in the middle of a word (examples: Serein [fer'fain], bearbcfien fba'^arbaitanj. [q] is the same as the English sound of ng in sing, singer. [1] Is a " clear " (palatalized) variety.
