Batting List the batsmen according to the order in which they come to the crease - No. I faces the first ball of the match. Any runs should be entered in the 'Runs scored' column next to the relevant batsman; enterthe number and then put a dot after it to separate each entry. If the batsman is out close off his innings with two lines (see specimen scoresheet), add up his runs and complete his totál. Enter his mode of dismissal or other entry, e.g. 'not out'. Write the name of the bowler in the bowler column only if he gets credit for the dismissal; if the batsman is not out or out for another reason, this column should be left blank. Complete the 'Fali of wickets' by entering the score when the wicket falls and the number of the out batsman below. Extrás (no balls, wides, byes and leg byes) fali into two categories: 'Bowling Extrás' and 'Fielding Extrás'. Wides and no balls are bowling extrás as they are debited against the bowler. NB: if'No ball' is called and the batsman hits the ball then any runs scored are credited to the batsman and are not to be entered as 'no ball' extrás. Leg byes and byes are fielding extrás and therefore do not count against the bowler. As these cannot be hit by the batsman, no runs can be scored by the batsman. Check regularly that: Batsmen's runs + bowling extrás = runs off bowlers Runs off bowlers + fielding extrás = totál score
