13 T^he inhabitants of the presbytery in X Groot-Zundert, the Netherlands, spent 30 March 1853 in fervent prayer. Anna Corneha Carbentus, the wife of the pastor, Theodoras van Gogh, was about to go into labour. On that same date one year earlier, she lad given birth to a stillborn child, Vincent Willem. The child born on this day was given exactly the same name: Vincent Willem van Gogh.
