PREFACE The text is complete and agrees with that in Kittredge's edition of Shakespeare's Wor\s The numbering of the lines accords with that commonly used in citing the plays. This method is preferred to a new counting in order to facilitate reference to such standard works as Bartlett's Concordance and Schmidt's Sha\espeare-Lexicon. In prose passages there results somé slight irregularity in computation, but this does not indicate any omission in the text. G. L. K.
