Bővebb ismertető
In a project of this magnitude and time, many have participated whose aid and encouragement should be acknowledged. We will name a few, realizing that it is impossible to list each individual who has contributed in a major way to the Family Treatment Unit. Unfortunately, the limitations of space will not permit the listing of most of the individual Psychiatric Residents and other staff members of the Inpatient Service of Colorado Psychopathic Hospitál, the Emergency Psychiatric Service of the University of Colorado Medical Center, and many other individuals on the staff of the University of Colorado School of Medicine and of Colorado General Hospitál. Their numbers are many and their aid was immense. We would like to acknowledge our thanks to a few specific individuals who have been of very special aid. Herbert S. Gaskill, M.D. as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Director of all clinical psychiatric facilities, offered encouragement and support for the project from its fírst proposals. Drs. Allén Hodges and Bemard Bloom of the U.S.P.H.S. Régiónál Office in Denver were of special help in the planning phases of the project. Their consultative skills helped us avoid many pitfalls in the research design. Jay Haley and Drs. Alfréd Messer and Andrew Ferber were of great help at many phases of the project. We have continued to rely on them for consultation and encouragement. They are but three of the leaders in the new field of family therapy who have provided consistent interest and stimulation. Almost twenty-five clinical social workers who have had no other connection with the Project have served as independent raters of the results of the Family Crisis Treatment (for the experimentals) and the Psychiatric Hospitál Treatment (for the controls). We promise to list them individually in our final report, but cannot avoid mentioning their help with the evaluative aspects of the Project. Drs. Kenneth Ash, Harold Chandler, Peter Mayerson, and Glenn Swank were very helpful in their participation in the clinical aspects of the work.
