War is a memory, and yet, is alive. A young beautiful woman, Theresa is devastated at having to give up her illegitimate child. She enlists and is singled out to join the Special Operations Executive, an organisation of undercover agents working behind enemy lines. Her mission is to assist the Resistance group run by Pierre Reuben. But life isn't just this dangerous and courageous work, or the love that consumes her and Pierre. Or the child they give life to. Life is now confusing, and Theresa is lost in a mind that tangles the past with the present.
