"I Entrust to Mary My Pilgrimage of Peace!"
At the usuai meeting with the faithful for the recitation of the Angelus on Sunday, September 23, the Holy Father delivered the following address.
Saturday, September 29, I will go on a journey to Ireland, from whence I will continue to the United States of America on October 1. As I have already mentioned previously, the first incentive for this journey was the invitation of the Secretary-General of the U.N.O., Dr. Kurt Waldheim. It is a good thing that this pilgrimage should be continued in the United States, as a visit to that Church and that society. I am grateful for the invitation of the Episcopal Conference of the USA, as well as for the invitation that Mr. Jimmy Carter, President of the United States of America, addressed to me at the same time.
