te/i/m'- 4THE MARKÉT OPENINGTo any veterán, or perhaps even neophyte, observer of the Stacked Markét, these opening observations might seem un-necessary. To the more cynical, the entire book might seem un-necessary. To the last group we just yell, "Communist!"; to the first group we continue to address our remarks.A quick brushup on fundamentals always seems in order:There is, of course, a Universal Stacked Markét. Our study, while limited to the Stacked Markét in this country, will in-clude both foreign and domestic Stacks. They are divided into two main typesPreferred Stacks and Common Stacks. Even beginners here will find these terms self-explanatory.The markét for Stacks exists not merely in the big cities. Somé of the most attractive possibilities, many with high yield values, are found in smaller towns and villages. While many of these Stacks are in priváté hands, somé have already gone and more will continue to goPublic. Traveling men, espe-cially, have found this to be true and have taken advantage of these possibilities, while many of the more sophisticated specu-lators have continued to observe only big city markets.
