HOW TO USE THIS SCRIPTURE INDEX VALUE Jehovah's Witnesses are happy to provide this Index of videós made in American Sign Language (ASL) from 1992 to 2011. The videós listed in this Index are found at the bottom of page 2. This Index will be very helpful for preaching, preparing talks, and personal study. It will alsó be helpful for family guidance and the situations of everyday life. This Index has been specially prepared to help you find specific chapters and paragraphs in the ASL DVDs and Web videós. It contains an Index of Scriptures Explained and an Index of Scriptures Quoted, which shows where to find scriptures that have been quoted in ASL. An Index of Subjects is not included in this edition. INDEX OF SCRIPTURES EXPLAINED This section lists scriptures with references to information explaining what a scripture means, its background, why the scripture was written, or the meaning of somé Hebrew or Greek words. How to Find Information About What a Scripture Means. Somé references list several paragraph numbers; for example, bh~5 19:20-23. Even though every paragraph may not explain the scripture you are researching, watching all the paragraphs listed will provide helpful information. INDEX OF SCRIPTURES QUOTED This is a list of signed scripture quotations in the ASL videós that have been translated from the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. Somé verses are only partially signed. Somé verses have more than one reference because different parts of the verse are signed in different places. Number symbols (#) indicate that the verse is from a dramatic Bible story. Part of the verse may be signed by people in costume and may have extra information not found in the Bible. EXPLANATION OF REFERENCES Order of References. References are listed from the newest to the oldest videó. References to The Watchtower are listed from the first issue to the last issue of the year. The abbreviation for each videó is found on page 2. If a videó has only one volume or disc, no disc number is shown. Examples of this are gf, kp, rq, and sp. If a DVD has more than one disc, the disc number is shown with the abbreviation of the videó. Examples of this are bh-5, fy-2, and gt-9. If references are separated by a semicolon (;), they are on a different disc. If references are separated by a comma (,), they are on the same disc. Boxes, Charts, and Lists. Somé references include the word "box," "chart," or "list" to show that the videó has additional information. To find this information, look at the number before the word "box." The box will be
