Who's Who In Hungarian Geography [antikvár]

Preface Almost a quarter of a century has passed since the last collection of facts about geographers was published and spread in the narrow circle of profesionals. Although geographers were represented in generál national publications, the length of this time itself justifies our attempt. Originally we planned to publish "Who's Who in Hungárián Geography" for the I.G.U. Conference in Washington. Due to different reasons, we are late almost a year. Though attempting to store up-to -date information in our database, we could not change always data according to the most recent events. Thus we would like to apologize those whom it may concern. The collection might not be complete for many reasons. There have been somé collegaues who - possibly guided by self-criticism - did not want they data included. We store the database and would like to keep it up-to-date, thus please do not hesitate to let us know any change or correction. While editing the book, we found somé particularly interesting structural character. We do suppose that this will attract considerable attention, so soon we would like to publish an analysis on the pages of Földrajzi Közlemények. Pécs, June 1, 1993 The Editors
