IntroductionThe intention of this book is to share with you our experiences with some of the animals that have lived with us. We are the stage, or the background, for the individual stories of these creatures weI, my wife Barbara, and our sons Bill and Johnhave brought to our home in Lees-burg, Florida.Our home is in the middle of a forty-acre wildlife refuge. This refuge exists because of the assistance and cooperation of our neighbors. Our 3.5 acres in the center section of the refuge are situated on the shore of a clear lake.
