MESSAGE FROM THE CONGRESS PRESIDENT, PROFESSOR J0RGEN FALCK LARSEN Six years ago - in Singapore in 1991 - the General Assembly of FIGO decided that the five Scandinavian societies should assume the responsibiiity for the organisation of the XV World Congress. Bearing in mind the history of FIGO and the World Congresses of Gynecology and Obstetrics, this was a great honour and challenge. During the past six years we have worked hard in order to create a superb XV FIGO World Congress under the headings: Research, Update and Debate.
