'Constantinople!' Young Indiana Jones said, his eyes widening as the capital of Turkey emerged through the morning mist.
'It sure isn't Salt Lake City,' said his friend, Herman. He shook his head in wonder. Domes and minerets were outlined against the brightening sky.
The two fourteen-year-old boys stood at the railing of a Greek tramp steamer. It had brought them, along with Indy's dad. Professor Henry Jones, all the way from New York. Its paint was peeling and its hull was rusty. Even its crew was ragged. Indy's dad had never been known to spend much on travel - not when his money could be spent on rare books instead.
