Meteorológiai megfigyelések [antikvár]

ELŐSZÓ FOREWORD A hazai tudománytörténet szempontjából - ha nem is kiemelkedő - de tisztes helyet foglal el az az esemény, hogy 200 éwel ezelőtt 1780 január 1-én Budán, az Egyetem Csillagdájában megkezdődtek a rendszeres műszeres meteorológiai mérések, és rövid kihagyásokkal azóta is folynak. Ennek az évfordulónak a közeledte ösztönözte az OMSZ, a MTA X. Osztályának Meteorológiai Tudományos Bizottsága és a Magyar Meteorológiai Társaság vezetőit, tisztségviselőit arra, hogy az V. Meteorológiai Tudományos Napok témáját a meteorológiai megfigyelések, mérések, az automatizálás az adatfeldolgozás és a tájékoztatás területéről válaszszák. 1979. november 14-15-én került sorerendez-vény lebonyolítására. Az alkalomhoz illően az előadások egy része történeti áttekintést adott a mérések megindulásáról, a Societas Meteorologica Palatina szerepéről, az állomáshálózat fejlődéséről, az adatfeldolgozás történetéről. Jelentős részt tettek ki azok az e-lőadások, amelyek a műszerezettség, az automatizálás mai helyzetéről és fejlesztési irányairól szóltak. Végül de nem utolsó sorban a meteorológiai a-datok feldolgozásáról és különböző célokra történő felhasználásáról hangzottak el beszámolók. Jelen kötetünkben az előadások zömét közreadjuk, kivételt csak azok képeznek, amelyek időközben más kiadványban megjelentek. Teljesség kedvéért ezek összefoglalóit is közöljük, és utalunk a teljes szöveg megjelenési helyére is. In the history of science in Hungary it was a remarkable event when 200 years ago, on the January 1780, regular instrumental meteorological observations have started at Buda, in the Astronomical Observatory of the University. Such observations have been running since that time with only short interruptions. The approaching anniversary stimulated the leading personalities of the Hungarian Meteorological Service, the Meteorological Committee of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Hungarian Meteorological Society to chose meteorological observations, measurements, automatization, data-processing and information as topics of the session celebrating this event. This session took place on 14-15 November 1979. Fitting the occasion, a part of the scientific lectures reviewed the history of the measurements from the beginning, the role of the Societas Meteorologica Palatina, the development of the network of observing stations, as well as the history of data-processing. Several lectures dealt with the present state and the projected development of meteorological equipment and automation. Last, but not least reports were given on the data-processing and on the use of data for different purposes. The present volume contains the full test of the scientific lectures except those which have been published elswhere. For the sake of completness a short summary of those latter lectures are also included, together with an indication of where the full published test will be found.
