Bővebb ismertető
INTRODUCTIONThis delightful book takes a fresh, new look at flower arranging, breaking away from more formal designs to create an altogether freer effect. There are, of course, the more classical designs in conventional vases but, in the main, the majority of displays are based upon using unusual and sometimes quite outrageous containers found in all rooms of the home. Containers like fancy paper or plastic bags, toy trucks, goldfish bowls, pineapples and even gumboots! No longer do you need lovely vases to create stimulating and exotic arrangements.Apart from step-by-step instructions on how to create the many beautiful arrangements featured, there is also essential information on the buying of flowers, how to condition and re-condition them, which types of foliage to grow at home, the basic equipment and mechanics of flower arranging, plus the importance of design and colour in creating a well-balanced floral display.Throughout the book, the plants have been given their most commonly used name which is often the Latin name for example, gypsophilia rather than baby's breath, ivy rather than Hederá. For easy reference, however, a full list of scientific conversions (common name to Latin name) appears at the end of the book on page 126.
