Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, President of the German Federal Republic Roman Herzog, Members of the Habsburg Family, and President of the French Republic Jacques Chirac have all recently lunch or dinner at Gundel's. President Bill Clinton was served a dinner on board of Air Force One by Gundel's and His Holiness Pope John Paul II dined at the Monastery of Pannonhalma when he visited Hungary in 1997. Whomever I cook for and wherever I do it in Europe or in the US, in Egypt or in Japan there are always a number paprika-flavored dishes of the Hungarian cuisine on the menu besides Gundel "classics" alongside the dishes of the international cuisine, of course. I prepare the Hungarian dishes with a mild seasoning, using just a small quantity of vegetable oil, following the modern style.
