Dear Reader,A cooking beok from a buildings material company? Why on earth a cook-ing book? If it would be a book about architecture, but a cooking book?Yes, we decided to present you a book with recipes other than for concreteor building materials! This book is special in many ways: most important ofall, it is made by us for you. We, as members of the Holcim Hungary team,put together some of our favourite recipes for you. Sharing a meal withsomeone has different meanings in different cultures, but almost every-where it is a sign of friendship and trust. In a translated way, my colleaguesand myself share a meal with you and invite you to accept our invitation.in the past years, star cooks have appeared on TV screens on almost everychannel and they issued numerous books as well. This one is not of thatkind: all our employees were invited to send their recipes on a voluntarybasis, with no other motivation than to contribute to a common goal. Theymight not be star cooks, but it is their personal contribution, for which Iwould like to thank each and everyone. If we identify ourselves with ourthree basic values - Strength, Performance, Passion - it is their passion tocontribute to a common goal that made this book possible.
