IntroductionThis is, to our knowledge, the first book to bring together and collate all the diverse materials involving therapy by means of direct applied pressure on certain key parts of the human body, especially hands and feet. Many books in the past have presented excellent, though partial approaches to this unique science, but no effort has ever been made to synchronize and compare such diverse systems as acupuncture, foot and hand reflexology, and finger and tool massage therapy according to zones. Here then, for the first time, is a book that explains the different approaches, compares them, shows where they agree and where they disagree and, most important, gives the layman and the professional alike a step-by-step guide to the application of a group of systems which have been found to control and alleviate pain and disease in case after case.The decision to undertake this project was based on the enthusiasm of our own experience with these simple and relatively unknown methods.
